68 Dean Street, Soho, London W1
A privately owned town house in the centre of fashionable Soho, each room has been impeccably restored in this beautiful Georgian Town House, originally constructed in 1681 as part of the Pitt Estate.
The house was originally built for John Meard Junior and has remained almost intact since 1732. It is one of the great surviving examples of early Georgian domestic architecture in London. It demonstrates the unique spatial proportions of the period, created by a forgotten artisan craftsman using the pattern books of the period, without the benefit of an architect.
